It never ceases to amaze me what a person can create with some dyed wool and a special needle, and perhaps some wire to give the project a little structure. This morning I sat down and studied a picture of the gray squirrel that I want to create. I grabbed some core felting wool and some natural gray that I had in my stash. It seems like ninety percent of the time I get about half way through the process and think it’s never going to become the critter I envisioned, it’s going to be a piece of crap that I will have to through away. This time it was the hands and feet that presented a challenge. But never one to say die, I persevered. And then lo, out comes a very sweet squirrel.
